How It Works

Semaglutide is a peptide that mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that targets areas of the brain that regulate appetite and food intake.

Any older adult who has thinning bones (osteopenia or osteoporosis), or severe loss of muscle mass, should be cautious because this can exacerbate those problems especially if they fail to build adequate aerobic and strength training exercise into their weight loss program.
